It feels so painfully unfair how easily she could just let go of everything we had, when I never once even entertained the thought of walking away from us—because she was the one who made those promises, who looked me in the eye and swore that no matter how heavy life got, no matter what storms we faced, we would never ever give up on each other. Those words were etched into my heart like a vow I trusted completely, only to realize they meant nothing to her the moment things got a little too real or a little too hard to handle. Now she’s gone, and I’m stuck here frozen in place, unable to move forward or open my heart to anyone else because every part of me still belongs to the life we built together; the thought of loving someone new, of trying to build that same kind of bond all over again, feels impossible and wrong, like I’d be betraying every memory we shared. And yet deep down, I know I can’t turn back time or beg her to come back—because what she did, the way she threw away three years of love and trust like it was nothing, hurt me far too deeply to ever truly look at her the same way again. Even so, no matter how much I tell myself I’m better off without her, there’s still this quiet, stubborn part of me that aches for us, that misses the way she used to hold me, the way we understood each other without saying a word, and all those small, perfect moments that only she and I ever really knew.
