@the.tarot.medium: Scroll ⤵️ If you watched someone you love disappear into dementia or Alzheimer's, you've already grieved them twice. Once while they were still breathing. Again when their body followed. 💙 Here's what I need you to know: the disease never touched their soul. Dementia is a condition of the brain. Memory lives deeper than that. The person who stopped recognizing your face was still in there, aware of your love, receiving every visit, every hand held, every patient afternoon you thought went unnoticed. Nothing you gave them was wasted. Volunteering in hospice, I've witnessed something families rarely expect. Moments of sudden clarity right before death. A mother who hadn't spoken in months says her daughter's name. Eyes that had been vacant for years suddenly focus, recognize, soften. Terminal lucidity is what it's called. To me, it's the soul stepping forward as the body lets go. 🕊️ On the other side, everything returns. Every memory. Their names for you. Stories they used to tell. The disease stayed with the body. Your person crossed over whole, with full access to every moment you shared, including the ones you thought were lost forever. In readings as a psychic medium, these souls come through sharp. Funny. Completely themselves. They reference things from decades ago and things from last week, because they witnessed it all, even when their body couldn't show you they were watching. So if you carry guilt about the visits that felt pointless, or the days you couldn't bring yourself to go because it hurt too much to be forgotten, set it down. You were never forgotten. Recognition lived somewhere the disease couldn't reach. 🌿 Life after death means restoration. The person you remember from before the diagnosis? That's exactly who's waiting for you. 💛 Did you lose someone to dementia or Alzheimer's? What's a memory of them from before that you hold onto? 👇 Link in my bio to book a reading 🤍 #psychicmedium #dementia #grief #lifeafterdeath #alzheimers

Both my parents passed from dementia. Grieving the living is incredibly soul destroying. There was so much I couldn’t tell them.
