@nancyandersonfit: One of the biggest misconceptions in the postpartum and rehab space is that any amount of “doming” and “coning” automatically means damage. That’s not how connective tissue works. Your linea alba (the connective tissue between your abdominal muscles) is designed to respond to pressure and load. Just like a tendon stretches under tension, connective tissue can change form under load and return when the load is removed. So seeing some doming during a movement doesn’t automatically tell us whether that movement is helping, hurting, or completely appropriate for you, even necessary for you to achieve progressive overload enough to keep healing and reaching your goals (yes, sometimes you should continue even if you see it). The better questions are: • Does it resolve when the movement ends and is it soft to touch? • Are you able to manage pressure and engagement effectively? • Is your abdominal wall functioning well? • Are symptoms improving or worsening? • Are you experiencing pain, pressure, leaking, or other signs of dysfunction? Appearance alone rarely tells the full story. In rehab, context and function matter far more than what something looks like in a single moment. #abrehab #natalapp
