Please remember 211.org. There are so many resources and help. They have categories for mental health, veteran support, rent/mortgage/utilities, food, and more.

My local librarian asked to please encourage people to come for meals and books. The more people come, the more they can justify a budget increase for more food which means more people they can help. Show up if you need help!

the ethenol issue is mostly fearmongering. any vehicle 2001+ is perfectly fine running the new E15. and most gas stations have E10 or pure 91/93 for older cars.

Go to your library. Sign up for summer reading. Get their schedule and go to events. Food, crafts, companionship, libraries are the best especially with kids over summer

tip... search for your nearest Habitat for Humanity Restore. 6 years ago I bought 2 love seats for $5 each. they were in great shape. I just replaced the foam in the cushions last week.

Also check with the schools for summer food for the kids! My local school district has pick up meals on mondays for the students. 5 days of breakfast and lunch.

Arco is taking its time switching to 15%. The arco stations around southern Washington/northern Oregon still have the 10%

Ethanol isn’t going to hurt your car. You’ve used it for decades. What’s changing is the amount used year ‘round.

Also! Check your kid's school's (or any school you're close to) website on the food service page, and see if they are hosting Meet up and Eat up this summer. I'm in Michigan, and a lot schools do 5 or 7 day meal kits that you can pick up

I worked for Canada's first ethanol-in-gas gas chain and we had full on educational seminars the first few years. Unless you have a very high end car, anything below 15% ethanol is going to have negligible effects that aren't beneficial beyond probably burning a little hot. keep your oil topped up and change it on schedule. The biggest mistake you can make is letting your oil or coolant drop too far or using bad/dirty oil. In Canada, they've currently maxed it at 10% which has added antifreeze benefits. If you come across a place with ethanol higher than... 12%ish? Check your oil and coolant levels and keep them topped off.

ethanol has been in gas since the 70s and pretty much every car since then can run on upto 10% ethanol. 2001 and newer can handle upto 15% ethanol which is the increase they're planning. So any literature talking about damaging vehicles is likely based pre 2001 vehicles still on the road. which i doubt is as significant as people think.

flashfood is another really good one. Grocery stores list food that is close to the sell by date with DEEP discounts. Normally half off.

most cars can eat up to 5% ethanol fuel. in Europe, envers vehicule has legally to be ok with 5% ethanol for years. and for older vehicules, the manufaturers gave information for each model.
