@maddylucydann: BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND Now I’m back to netball I’ve started to pump occasionally so I can leave milk at home for the Bebe and I’m using a manual pump so I can do a vid on that too once I’m in the swing of it!

If this is the video that was deleted- I'm so glad you have put it back up. Currently pregnant and hearing positive stories is SO helpful. Your experience doesn't take away from anyone else's. There's too much 'what about me-ism' on social media these days💜

Just to give a positive but opposite experience - I did everything you described, exclusively breastfed, took supplements, went to 2 lactation consultants, and breastfeeding still didn't work out. And that's ok too!

I can’t run a marathon but celebrate people that can. However, my marathon is being able to breastfeed my beautiful twin girls born in January, I won’t be ashamed to celebrate it nor tell people of the goodness it brings.

A piece of advice I was given that stuck with me was ‘breastfeeding is natural like walking not like breathing air’ effectively meaning you still need to learn how to do it but once you learn how, you can do it without thinking but also it takes time to learn.

I don't know why this got any sort of negative feedback...breastfeeding wasn't the right choice for me (for a whole host of reasons) but I love this positive message and I LOVE that it has been a positive journey for both you and baby - we should be celebrating any and all positive stories for mums, even if its not the same journey as our own!

Thank you for CELEBRATING breastfeeding!!!!!!! Positivity is hard to come by - which is so sad. It’s incredible what both we and our babies can do 🥰

This video was AMAZING! Thankyou Maddy! I’m 31 weeks pregnant and too am planning to exclusively breastfeed, no pumps or devices just me, my boob and Bebe. Thankyou for sharing your positive experience. People are so quick to put down my breastfeeding plan by saying it won’t go as I hope or it will be hard. It’s nice to hear encouragement and be empowered 🩷

Yay love this Maddy! Currently on week17 of EBF and it’s been a wild ride, the pain on one side finally subsided after week 13 (despite osteo and a lactation appointment) and I feel so much more at ease. If this helps anyone to know if they would like to keep going that it does get a little easier!

I heard someone say that breastfeeding is natural to humans in the same way that swimming is. It was such a helpful analogy! We can do it, but throwing someone in the deep and telling them to try harder isn't likely to help - but real advice, support and patience will.

Watching this while breast feeding my 3rd. I breast feed because I’m lazy. Can’t be doing with the planning and prepping of formula.

I really struggled with breastfeeding. Tried to get help and all the professionals would say 'its fine, keep going'. Meanwhile my baby was screaming and I was overwhelmed. So I went the route of combi feeding and it worked amazingly for us. I was able to breastfeed him until 3 years old (stopped the formula at 13 months). I wish I had gotten better support, but I'm still proud I was able to even partly.

It’s so nice to see a positive reaction to breastfeeding because I see so many where people only tell you the negatives which for me, as someone who’s pregnant currently, makes it feel so daunting! Thank you for this video!!❤️

so glad you've posted this again. I've been breastfeeding for 19 months and found when I started feeding there was no one that I saw talking about it. I love that how incredible it can be is being talked about more ❤️
