unfortunately i don’t think we’ll ever get a run that explores jason’s anger at the system fully, as then it would show that bruce’s way of doing things (trusting in the system) doesn’t ALWAYS work — and in DC, Bruce/Batman can never be wrong about anything, especially not about something as monumental as his methods, because it would likely hurt DC’s sales and they’re never gonna do something like that willingly [cry]

no one seems to remember he was actually the happy robin and all the rage he ever had when being robin was totally valid and maybe not even enough based on the way he was brought up imo and that’s also one of the reasons why the concept of him as red hood and what he stands for was an incredible thing and could’ve been done much better if writers actually cared about him and saw all the layers within his character

And I hate how he's been dumbed down to be the stupid brute like he isn't as equally intelligent as the other Robins or that he's nothing more than a tank or bruiser when he was trained and still retains those acrobatic skills he learned under Batman. This is why I hate when people say he needs to leave Gotham. No, Jason IS Gotham through and through. It is his city just as much as it’s Bruce’s, if not more so. Just because there are writers who don’t understand his character at its core doesn’t mean that he should be pushed out of the city that he is a blatant representation of.

Jason's treatment is a direct effect of Ronald Reagan's America, he directly challenged the systems that were padding the pockets of men like Reagan. it's really what led to them killing him off and replacing him with Tim Drake (a boy from the upper 1%), it's soooo unfortunate

i really hope the dcu starts with dick or jason as robin. i cannot stress how bad of an idea it is to start with damian. jason would be the perfect starting point. it would give him more characterization in the public eye other than just "the robin that died".
