@cancerjourney.1: Some days, motherhood during cancer looks nothing like the picture I had in my head. It looks like tears in my eyes. It looks like low energy. It looks like my girls laying next to me, watching TV, while my body tries to survive another day. And on days like this, I catch myself thinking... Am I failing them? Am I failing because I don't have the strength to play, to do more, to be the "mom" I used to be? But the truth is... this isn't failure. This is survival. This is love. This is showing up in the only way I can today. I have really good days. And then I have days that look like this. And both are part of this journey. If you're a mom fighting cancer and your days sometimes look like mine...please know this: you are not alone. I'm right here with you. M We put so much pressure on ourselves as mothers, but maybe...just maybe...what we need most right now is grace. Even when it's hard to give it to ourselves.
