A federal judge denied Farwell’s request for release, stating that the evidence against him appears “very strong, if not overwhelming.” Farwell is accused of killing Birchmore in 2021 and staging her death to look like a suicide. Birchmore was 23 years old and pregnant when she was found dead in her Massachusetts apartment. Prosecutors allege Farwell groomed her from the time she was a teenager involved in a police explorer program and maintained a years long relationship with her before her death.
