I know it might be too late but you've said that there are stairs to the garden - is it not possible to do ramps? My Dad had mobility problems as he got older and had trouble with stairs. It's a bit more sustainable to build in ramps than stairs if you can.

It’s too exciting! They’ve earned their worth so far for sure! Looking forward to seeing the next instalment! The patio area I would go for an outdoor bbq are, fire pit .. then you could have a little bar in the new part🤭 Joking aside, by having different areas it make the whole place look so big but more importantly connected to each other (the house&garage) Ohh you could have pizza oven, outdoor sink.. the possibilities are endless. I run my own home design company 😉🤎
