great stars is still better. more range, heal, bleed. bleed also has better buffs. put ice infusion or frost grease on it and have 2 status effects+20% debuff. on the pickaxe the counter damage is only if they are attacking so of you stun them no damage buff. spear talisman is 15% counter damage, Blood's Exultation is 20% after bleed for 20 seconds. you can do more with great stars. if your going with counter damage the anchor is better anyway

counter damage is applied like a parry mid boss attack it applies to all weapons and spells. it shouldn't matter
