I'd say the 3-5 month mark, they grow fast and you'll see them begin to spread out more, less schooling and more territorial behavior. depending on their size once fully grown, I'd say anywhere between 55-120 gallons. if they grow 4 inches, I think the 55 might work but anything larger and you'll need to upside significantly and add lots of separation in the form of decorations, caves and tunnels. they WILL eat one another otherwise
