@propersmash: On Monday 8th June, a horrific act of violence took place in Belfast. A beheading. Nothing can justify murder, and the fear, anger and grief that follow such events are understandable. But individuals commit crimes; entire communities do not. No culture teaches or excuses murder. In times like these, people should come together to support one another rather than allow fear to deepen division. Northern Ireland knows better than most the damage that can be caused when people are judged by who they are rather than by their actions. Remember that history. Be angry at violence. Demand justice. Belfast knife attack victim Stephen Ogilvie — whose stabbing sparked two days of race-hate rioting — was previously in 2001 in Scotland tortured by a LOYALIST UVF-linked gang led by a double killer and overseen by a Shankill Butcher. They poured flammable liquid over him & set him alight.
