You know what also has shown to lower unexpected patient mortality? Safe patient to nurse ratios! AI isn’t the answer to everything and we shouldnt get too reliant on it, nurses are capable to check on patients when the work load is manageable.

AI is really good at pattern recognition, it'll never replace an actual doctor but it's actually pretty decent at interpreting scan results and looking at symptoms then ordering relevant tests.

crazy take in these comments. two things can be true. we can have manageable work loads, proper staffing but also leverage ai for better patient care. the mortality rate going down should make everyone happy. these ais will be privotal in health care. from everyday things like managing diabetes, heart disease to surgery. I understand everyone's afraid of job destruction but human lives come first.

Healthcare is the only place where I think plastic waste and AI are worth it. The AI that’s used in healthcare isn’t like the generative AI that the general public has access to, and obviously needs to be improved in a lot of ways.
