Thank you for posting this. As a local I'm so tired of all the posts about this ruining people's vacation. They don't realize this is a huge project to help ensure the beach is still there years from now when they come back for another trip and to help with hurricane season.

As a visitor, we had no idea until this past week that the was happening. We will be in Surfside mid July, which someone on here said is the schedule for Surfside’s beaches. We booked over the phone with Dunes Realty in March and they did not mention this. We do understand that this is important and needs to happen, but had we known, we could have planned differently.
