@axdn._w: Perfection is a beautiful kind of torture . . . . . The Bear feels less like a show about cooking and more like a story about pressure, grief, and trying to keep yourself together when everything around you is falling apart. Carmy Berzatto is one of the most realistic portrayals of ambition in recent television. He’s talented, driven, and constantly chasing perfection, but beneath all of that is someone struggling with loss, anxiety, and the weight of expectations. What makes Carmy compelling isn't his success it's how human he feels. Every victory comes with sacrifice, every mistake feels personal, and every day is a battle between who he is and who he thinks he needs to be. The kitchen may be chaotic, but most of the chaos comes from inside his own mind. He's not trying to be a hero. He's just trying to survive, heal, and create something meaningful. That's what makes his story resonate with so many people. . . . . as a life long victim of RAS I wouldn’t wish ulcers on my worse enemy although in this scene I think he was talking about stomach ulcers but maybe it’s mouth ulcers

I think the point of the show is 1. Yes absolutely that is the price for greatness. 2. Is that price worth paying? I think the shows answer for a lot of people is no. Carmy has achieved greatness and now he really just wants peace with his girlfriend and he struggles with that because he still has his desire to be great that conflicts with that

I have nightmares and panic attacks very often. It sucks when you can’t even hold a job down because of mental health tho

Anyone who is saying "if you want to be great, that's what it takes" needs to examine the fact that there are plenty of great talents who are kind and plenty of hacks who are cruel.

Cool, Cool, Cool…Carson :
Some people think that good is good enough and that’s OK that’s real. It’s just not my reality. It’s not a gig. It’s not a job. It’s not a career I take my craft serious.

As someone who has achieved monumental goals I set (Full ride to a great school, Running a Research Lab and being co authored in a book) it never feels like enough. It never will. Don’t try to fill a void

I got a degree in organizational leadership to also feel like this. I love my degree but sometimes it’s too much and people don’t understand that because of how people perceive it at first.
