I love this place. I’ve been several times just to kill time and look around. I’m usually one of the only people there, so you have this huge museum in Hollywood to yourself lol. Maybe I’ve been at off times?

I finally went a couple years ago when they had the back to the future exhibit and the whole place was amazing!!! I had lunch first at Mel’s, of course 🥰🥰 GO VISIT if you love Hollywood history!

I was looking into the Max Factor Building’s famous hair-color rooms (the "Blondes Only" room, Redheads, Burnett's), and they heavily feature photos of Marilyn Monroe, claiming Max Factor "created" her look.But from what I know, Allan "Whitey" Snyder was Marilyn’s personal makeup artist at 20th Century Fox for her entire career. In fact didn't Whitey said "Marilyn and I created the look." well not word for word but he is the one who co-created her signature tricks (the 5-shade red lip, the specific eye shadows, the glowing skin).So, what is the real truth here? Did Max Factor actually have a hand in designing her iconic look, or is the museum/brand just capitalizing on her massive fame and estate marketing? Did Max Factor even work directly with Fox Studios back then?
