Isnt there like a very small time frame threshold for heat transfer? Im no scientist i barely passed high school but thats what my first thought was also given how fast hes going and hes wearing pants and shoes couldnt that act as a modicum amount of protection? Like its not perfect protection but its better than nothing

Michael, first of all, the reason he wasn't burned is because he was moving too fast. It's like lighting a candle and quickly moving your hand through the flame without getting burned. The filmmakers slowed the scene down so viewers could see and understand what was happening.

with the legs wouldnt the heat transfer be minimal? hes only stepping on the hot surface for a fraction of a second, the only issue here would be inertia
