Same except we would use taco seasoning when browning up our beef. But essentially a salad with taco meat in it. We use crushed Doritos and a mixture of Italian and Catalina

This was the Midwest taco salad of the 80’s and 90’s except we used the original taco Dorito’s flavor.

Yes! Orange tupperware bowl family too. Our recipe was slightly different. Kidney beans instead of pinto. Doritos instead of plain tortilla and 1000 Island instead of Catalina. We also refrigerated ours and I swear it's better after being in the fridge even with the wilted lwttuce.

From central Oklahoma and this is EXACTLY how we made taco salad growing up, down to the orange Tupperware bowl. The only difference in ours was ranch style beans. SO GOOD
