Just got out of the theater. I’m so perplexed. Every plot point was so intriguing, but made absolutely no sense. It was so open to interpretation that it’s lazy. Close encounters The last scene was the payoff that brought it all together.. what I’m saying is Spielberg knows better. What the hell was this?

The movie arrival did this way better. The confusing points were intriguing, but then the writer knew how to make sense of it with an ending that was so deep that connected to the whole movie

All I care is did they have an amazing ending. I wanted to leave in the middle of vanilla skies, but the ending made it switch to my top 10 experiences in movie life. How was the ending one out of 10?
