Does the duck nesting mean you have permission to stay longer than two weeks?

once she has laid the last egg then the incubation period is 28 days . they like to dip their food in water so please provide a shallow bowl of water next to her food and she will adore you

This is beautiful! Having studied environmental science, I love seeing this. Because you were away, she chose your boat for its quietness, safety and greenery. She's clearly decided you're safe since she's staying put now that you're back! Ducks have amazing situational memories, so she will quickly learn your specific faces, voices, and daily routines as her protectors. She will likely attempt to return to your safe nesting site next year. Incubation takes about 28 days, and she'll be sitting there for nearly 23 hours a day, which takes a massive toll on her energy. A shallow bowl of water and some thawed frozen peas, oats, or duck pellets will help ease her journey. Once they hatch, the ducklings will head into the water within a day and leave, so enjoy your time with her! 🐣🦆

would the water police people allow this as a reason to stay in 1 spot for more than 2 weeks?
