During this time, the university has refused to provide salary increases that keep pace with the cost of living and has proposed cuts to critical benefits, including meal stipends, fatigue mitigation protections, fertility coverage, and access to $0-premium healthcare plans. At the rally, Dr. Cohn-Sheehy, an incoming PGY-4 neurology resident, shared his experience of being involved in a car accident while on home call. No physician should be placed in a position where they are expected to choose between their safety and the care of their patients.
