my issue with We Used To Live Here is it has an incredible premise that it instantly abandons for some generic creepypasta shit. I'd love to read a book that actually follows through on the initial premise

I wasn't sure how I felt about Last House on Needless St while I was reading it but really liked it by the end ...and it was one of those books I had to really think about when the twist came to make sure I was understanding everything. I still think about this book.

I wanted to love IWHNKM. But it was just insufferable and there are no chapters and no real ending. It just wasn’t for me. I have been on the fence about reading yesteryear, I’ll have to pick it up!

I read We Used to Live Here in 2 days. Woulda been 1, but kept stopping to google the foreign languages. Loved it so much. Most people who I know who didn’t like it struggled with the open endedness of the story. I liked that though. I felt it worked with the rest of the book.

I finished IWHNKM and wept on my couch for an hour. I'm Thinking of Ending Things was ok. We Used to Live Here had a good premise but took a weird turn and totally lost all chance to be scary, imo.

Yesteryear was so disappointing to me because it barely shows the 1855 side and mainly focused on her past, which I didn’t care for at all 😩 almost dnf
