I think you are being too hard on yourself. I agree with you to do the best you can, but god understands us. We all have a journey to take and the one you are on is yours. You just weren’t ready and that’s ok. God is like a coach but you choose your sport. If you want to be an Olympian he will get you there if you listen. But he doesn’t force you into it. And he doesn’t want you to be anywhere you don’t want to be. You took the path you took and he was with you, and gave you provision the whole way. I feel like you have regret because you don’t have your promise yet. It’s coming just enjoy the ride with your father. Half of the fun is the journey with him, he just wants to enjoy time with you. 🙂
