there's 2 arts the box art and the full art. the box art probably ended up using AI to move the characters around, but there's the actual art from nomura that's not ai. Donald is behind sora and his right hand with the extra finger isnt visible

benefit of the doubt? They accidently put another finger in. Sometimes artists discount;^; especially when there are character designs that have four AND five in same picture

A lot of people think that nomura didn’t use AI and actually drew the artwork but they upscaled it with AI which screwed up all those finer details. Which I hope is the case over them full sending AI

I highly recommend TBSkyren on his video. he explains why it isn't AI but a very lazy last minute job! I definitely learnt a lot from it (he also hates ai and has done many professional freelance work in the past so has experience)

related to this, I keep seeing banner art for older games on GOG be OBVIOUSLY AI upscaled images, when they could've just gotten a higher quality scan!!!

if you have the Image not just as Photo but as jpeg, tiff or png you can put it into color dodge filter (if I am correct. or was it another filter with "color" in it?) and it shows annomalies in the coloring in form of weird pixels. Artists don't do this and even if we miss some spots, our art is not sprinkled with these annomalies of random pixels.

This is official art from the manga from more than 10 years ago, same issue. I remember seeing all those characters in different mangas for each game and that would explain the different art styles too. The background tho that for sure is AI

ai can go eff itself, what's most likely happened here is they used ai to rearrange things and it caused a whole bunch of changes, something ai is known to do. it's really disgusting how much the game industry has embraced ai. we NEED it to be law that they disclose they use it

its common for artists to forget some details when drawing. yes even a whole finger but this whole "illustration" reeks of ai. the lines are odd and squiggly in a way that an artist wouldnt draw intentionally and things bleed into eachother. definitely ai.

I hate to be that person but incorrect number of fingers does not always indicate Ai usage, it’s just a common mistake it makes, but humans commonly make that mistake too. I’d believe it was Ai more if the fingers blended together, or if anything did really.

What I don’t understand is if they’re gonna use ai, why don’t they edit it after generating it? They have the talent to photoshop and it should be an easy “fix” to edit fingers or other distorted objects
