My son hoards all the pencils he finds on the hallway floors and will lend them out with interest. His science teacher a piece of candy for three pencils about 2/3 through the year. He then sold the candy for .25 each. He made $120 the last two months of 7th grade.

Spam musubi. Yep, high school sub teacher here. There’s about 4 kids that make and sell Spam Musubi. One kid told me he makes $300-$500 a week.

My daughter teaches swim lessons at the local pool then when all the spots fill up she does private lessons at people’s houses, apartment complex pools or community pools for $30/30 mins. She makes enough to pay for grad school.

in 5th grade my daughter sold rubberband friendship bracelets she made for 55 cents a piece, while everyone else charged 75 cents. Her hustle? She didn't make change 😳 the kids ended up usually paying 75 cents any way, but they liked that hers were cheaper priced. 😳 She bought the bands in bulk, but her second hustle was she never used the school colors (3 of them) in any design unless they were together. that way she could sell to those who wanted school colors AND then also to those who just wanted pretty colors.

I drove neighborhood band kids to school in my ‘77 Beetle because we had to be there early and couldn’t ride the bus. Parents would give me $5/week for gas and I could fit four (besides me) in the car. Twenty bucks a week in addition to my weekend job? No problem, because I could fill up for $5 every ten days or so. This was in the early 90s, obviously

I am 50 and my side hustle in high school was selling those chocolate almonds that we would get to help save for a field trip. I would get my mom to drop me of at my dad‘s job he worked in an accounting firm. And I would go to everyone’s desk and offer them chocolate almonds at around 4 PM when everyone was hungry. I was selling up to 5 cases a day for a two week period. We got to go to Canada‘s Wonderland. Thanks to 70 cases I was able to upgrade our trip from a farm to the amusement park with the best roller coasters

My kids tell me that filling a backpack with cans of pop and selling them for $5 each was a popular one. Yes, $5 for a warm Pepsi Jeremy’s been bouncing around on his back all day. Lol
