@armin.phys1o: A baker’s Cyst might be the reason the back of your knee is hurting! A baker’s cyst usually forms when excess fluid from the knee joint itself starts to leak out into a bursa sac behind the knee. It takes up space behind the knee and starts taking up space around surrounding structures. It’s painful to touch and it starts to irritate surrounding tissue. A baker’s cyst is often self limiting and will get better on its own. It is also not always harmful or anything significant to worry about. However it does cause pain when touched, if you are bending your knee or straightening out the knee. Sometimes, clients will report pain in the region after standing from a seated position. If this is you, or you suspect you have a bakers cyst try these exercises!
