Yup, SoCal here - we’re on Credelio or Credelio Quattro only. It’s the only one that’s labeled against it so far (Nexgard Plus is likely following, Simparica Trio doesn’t look like it will but we shall see)

and a big hearty "F you" to Elon Musk for defunding the programs that were keeping this fly out of the US. I'm not in NWS range, but I'm glad my cats are on revolution plus. my cousin in New Mexico is really scared of NWS, but she's also been misled by these influencers and she's also a little scared of isoxazolines (her dogs had some tummy troubles on bravecto, which doesn't help).

For anyone that's interested, Radiolab did an episode about new world screwworms in March (3/13) titled Return of the Flesh Eaters. They explore how it was eradicated in the US and the concerns about it coming back. They also talk about the larger ethical questions around actively choosing to make a species become extinct. It's an intense listen but it's very well done. You can listen on any podcast platform.

My dog that has seizures has a Seresto collar. Will that protect him or do I need to panic? He also gets advantage multi. My other dog gets simparica trio.

Still not comfortable with the isoxazoline class of drugs, that doesn’t mean I think DE, essential oils (most are toxic 🙄), etc work. I really wish vets would stop shaming people who aren’t comfortable with isoxazolines.

So make what works actually affordable and available. Not everyone can afford a vet visit for flea/tick meds. Those that actually work need to be on a shelf in a store and not $35 a damn pill.
