@hellorubydoodle: This stretch of Highway 138 in southern Oregon is littered with waterfalls and we drove the whole stretch in a day. Here’s all the stops we made along the Highway of Waterfalls starting from Roseburg, OR: 1️⃣ Wolf Creek Falls — 75-foot two-tiered drop through old-growth forest. Worth the detour off the main highway. 2️⃣ Little Falls — barely on any list, practically roadside, and Ruby got to splash off-leash. Underrated stop. 3️⃣ Steamboat Falls — modest height, but watch steelhead leap the cascade May through October. Genuinely cool. 4️⃣ Toketee Falls — the iconic one. Columnar basalt gorge, 113-foot two-tier drop, one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the entire state. 5️⃣ Whitehorse Falls — easy leg stretch between bigger stops. Peaceful punchbowl setting on the Clearwater River. 6️⃣ Clearwater Falls — cascades through old-growth trees with picnic tables nearby. Perfect lunch stop timing-wise. 7️⃣ Warm Springs Falls — 70-foot drop over basalt cliffs, rhododendrons in bloom in spring, and you crosRoseburgall dams on the way in.
