Vic :
He doesn't like Amanda, he pursued her bc he liked how being w/ her made him feel, fed his ego - how he was the one to make her finally happy. He admitted to this at the reunion. He’s a narcissist he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. He thought they wouldn't get caught before the season ended - which would've set him up as her white knight & the audience would ship the two of them bc we would want Amanda to finally be happy. Now that it's all blown up, its clear they are still together out of spite, to prove Ciara (& the audience wrong).

Jane Doe too :
He's definitely Not trying to get back at Ciara. Ciara made the Same claim when Austin went back to Lindsay after Ciara stole him from her in Winter House. Season 6 episode 10 Ciara said Austin and Lindsay were ONLY kissing to hurt her and make her look stupid for caring so much about Austin. Lindsay said, believe me, you were not on our minds. Ciara got Violent with Danielle over her defending Lindsay. Ciara said Austin was the most important relationship of her life but they only dated for the 16 days of Winter House. Paige already screamed at Austin for never calling Ciara afterwards. then season 8 reunion Andy got Ciara and West to admit they only dated for Sept-Oct-Nov. Andy repeated those months twice and they agreed. So all this hate over a 90 day relationship is giving middle schooler. Also if Amanda and C were Bffs why did Amanda comfort West at the season 8 reunion after Ciara and Paige were yelling at him?? I only saw Ciara and Amanda get close season 10 AFTER West sat on Amanda
