@wereknowgood: Most people think a will protects their family. It doesn't — a will is just a letter to the probate court. Your home, your accounts, all of it gets frozen, made public, and stuck in court for months before your family sees a dime. The quieter path: don't own it in your name. Hold your property in a private trust and the trust holds the title, not you. You stay in control while you're alive — but when you pass, there's nothing in your name to probate. It transfers privately, to who you named. No judge. No public record. No waiting. The trust doesn't die when you do. That's the point.
