Nobody is talking about the lamp. You NEED a full sized professional quality nail lamp with a reflective bottom. Anything less than that does not have the capability of fully curing the gel

So I’ve noticed that gel doesn’t like to stay on natural nails for some reason. I have no idea why. I use gel X tips and it stays just fine

Your natural nails seem thin and bendy and that could be the cause, maybe try a thick rubber base to add structure to the nail instead of a regular base! And when applying top coat apply it to the tips of your nails aswell like a little cap basically

Girl I hope ur being safe w the gel because acrylate allergies are no fucking joke. Once you get them you won’t be able to do nails, press ons, wear lashes, have bandaids or other medical bandages with sticky, you won’t be able to touch super glue ever, no fucking DENTAL work, no clothing detergents. Please just go and support small businesses where people are educated and licensed to do nails. I’m saying this out of concern because this isn’t just fun and games. Contact dermatitis and acrylate allergies can ruin your life.

I started using builder gel on my nails to stop any bending and you have to make sure to wrap the tips with base and polish too so the ends aren’t exposed and can’t lift🫶

It could be bad prep. I had this issue for a long time before I fixed my prep. buff the nails to get the shine off, dehydrate with acetone

Mine used to do this. I start with a builder gel and then paint over with regular gel. My nails are too thin and flexible for regular gel

File or buff the natural nail, use a dehydrator twice, and a primer is optional. Make sure you cap the nail tips with the top gel as well

Ur prep makes all the difference, make sure you’re prepping thoroughly and then builder gel will change your life. I used to have the same issue but once I started prepping my nails correctly and using builder gel my nails started lasting weeks

Do a rubber base then builder gel. If you go in with just builder gel like everyone is saying you’re probably going to have lifting because your nails are flimsy. A rubber base is flexible & with bend with the natural nail & then the builder gel on top will add hardness.

Dawn dish soap an hour before. Then NO water. Buff. Acetone sweep. Switch to DND base/top coat. If that doesn’t work, try a new lamp.

I would say that your natural nails are too weak for the polish so use some builder gel

I had this issue! Did A LOT of research and realized I needed to use rubber base, not just regular base gel. Rubber base adds strength but is still somewhat flexible so it moves with my naturally bendy nails. I get the rarajsm brand fiber rubber base since I’m really hard on my hands. I’ve also been using hard gel and using it to armor my free edge to help keep them strong and from flexing as much! It takes practice but after a few times, I am able to grow my nails with minimal lifting and just file off the old color, do maintenance and a fill, then change to the new color!

I had the same issue, hated paying to get my nails done cause they would chip or peel off in 2-3 days. Now I use a ph bond and a builder as my base coat. When I do them myself they last for 10-12 days before they grow out enough or I’m tired of the color 😂

100% make sure you are filing/buffing your nails, everywhere make sure you don’t see any shine. Then dehydrate with alcohol or dehydrator.
