My friend works in sales at Mazda. They get the car at 10% below invoice for sales incentives. That way they can knock off a few thousand off MSRP for a "deal" so Tomi is right. 😏

I thought he was pretty reasonable. He didn't jack you around or try to get you to come in. He asked where you were, saw that you guys were too far apart, then went ahead and gave you his number anyway. I can see his point about texting the price. Then you show that to another dealer, they beat it by $50, then you want him to beat it by $25, ect. He wasn't interested in playing games, this is his price, if you wnat it, let him know.

I actually dont mind Eddie gave you “his” price and didnt give you ammo to shop around lol. Its not his job to help you shop around and with him saying it was “his” price he is also not guaranteeing another saleman at his store can match that price, so if you want it at that price you have to go through Eddie lol

Tommy he didn’t refuse to give you a number. He told you 900 off invoice and he would show you but you wanted to press him more. He didn’t budge and that was his number. You really need to understand when they hit their rock bottom and move on

I feel like if we try to understand the dealer’s perspective this guy was ok. If he puts it in writing, another dealer beats it by 100, then a third dealer beats that by 100, and pretty soon Tomi done got himself a free car.
