@antebiortho: Direct Anterior Hip Replacement: Why Patients Love It? The direct anterior approach is a muscle-sparing technique that allows us to replace the hip without cutting through major muscles. For many patients, this can mean: ✅ Less pain after surgery ✅ Faster recovery and rehabilitation ✅ Smaller incision ✅ Improved early mobility ✅ Lower risk of dislocation ✅ More natural feeling hip function ✅ Often a quicker return to daily activities Every patient is different, but when performed on the right candidate, the direct anterior approach can be a game-changer. New hip. New life. Back to doing what you love. #DirectAnteriorHipReplacement #HipReplacement #AnteriorHipReplacement #OrthopedicSurgery #JointReplacement
Hip specialist here in Vancouver BC is telling me to lose approx 100lbs before he replaces my hip due to severe osteoarthritis. I’m having trouble doing this. Pls advise.

I know you’re one of the leading anterior hip replacement surgeons in the country. I’m in the Denver/Boulder area and looking for an excellent hip surgeon for a consult. Could you recommend someone in this area whom you highly respect? I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!

Busy man. Doing the math, 1000 surgeries per year means, not accounting for any time off for vacations and personal time ( which you know he and all doctors take), he performs 4 surgeries per day. Again, that assumes he works 5 days per week for 52 weeks. The math ain't mathing. He might be a wonderful surgeon but I dont appreciate his exaggeration(s).

I’m 70. I swim laps in my pool every day. Can bike occasionally. Is this enough prep for hip replacement surgery 8/20?

I’m 7 weeks post anterior and I can honestly say I had plenty of restrictions. Pain was a daily occurrence and the mental load was incredible as you fight to get your mobility back. It’s not as easy as you say it is.

Question please! Do you believe the 15-PDGH inhibitor may be able to regrow cartilage or at least reduce pain?

3 weeks out and never felt better but a lot is dependent on activity prior to replacement. I made it a point to condition the legs leading up to surgery. Was cleared for driving and limited activity but just listen to your body and do the PT

I was home and walking up and down my stairs. Honestly surgeons like you are miracle workers! If I need my right done and am in So Cal I know now to look you up!

I had my interior hip replacement two weeks and three days ago. The pain in my my surgical area is very painful. I was doing great and the last three days have been horrible. I’m not sure if I did too much and irritated it or what. Pain medication helps but I was taking none until three days ago.
