I’ve noticed that lots of F1 fans take issue with him being involved and having a love for fashion, but I’ve never seen any other drivers getting flack for their unproblematic passions outside of F1. Yet so many other drivers are celebrated for their passions and hobbies outside of F1.

It took me a long time to kinda ‘like’ verstappen because the whole 2021 season, the way he and redbull spoke about Lewis was full of micro/macro aggressions. It was really bad how they spoke about him, made me so uncomfortable and a lot of people said I was doing too much for feeling that way

The thing that I find it so annoying is the fact that this last two races Lewis was outperforming Charles and in the comment section the people trying to pity Charles and find excuses for him were more than those who were congratulating Lewis the whole of last year they were calling Lewis “Washed” saying “he should retire”

What you said is why I'm a Hamilton fan over every other F1 driver. I also like Charles LeClerc a lot cause he's a phenomenal driver but I simply can't put him as my number one (not to say that automatically makes Lewis the better driver)... because Lewis being in F1 and not only that but being a 7 time world champ at the sport, means the whole world to the little black boy in me that's loved motorsport from the first time I ever knew what it was and ever knew what F1 is and what it takes to get into it. Especially cause I dream of one day becoming a professional racing driver. Not in Formula 1, but racing in 24 hours of Le Mans. I wish there were more of Hamilton in motorsports.

I think one of the biggest examples of this is the 2021 season.5 years on and not a single driver has spoken on how what happened in Abu Dhabi was wrong.Furthermore, notice how people say Hamilton staying in F1 after 2021 is “ruining his legacy”,whereas Alonso who hasn’t won anything for 20 years is “doing it for the love of the game”.The double standards are insane🤦🏽♂️

Lewis is not my personal favorite driver as a f1 newbie, but being black and growing up in PWIs, there’s just a connection there that almost transcends your “favorite” driver. There’s an understanding that he is living the same experience as you and is dealing with things that the people around him do not and cannot and will NEVER understand, even if they wanted to.
