@cockpitking: Airplane windows aren’t made of one pane. They’re made of several. ✈️ Most passengers never notice the tiny hole at the bottom of the window. Known as a bleed hole, it helps regulate pressure between the different layers, ensuring the outer pane carries the load while reducing stress on the inner layers. Fun fact: The cabin pressure pushing against each window at cruise altitude can create forces of several hundred kilograms, yet the window structure is designed with multiple layers of redundancy. That tiny hole has a very important job. #airplanewindows #cabinpressure #aircraftengineering #aviationsafety #aircraftdesign
