According to preliminary reports, the aircraft landed safely on the road with all four crew members evacuating without injuries. However, the situation took a new turn when the aircraft reportedly departed the scene and returned to Lagos without obtaining the required regulatory approval. The NCAA has described the unauthorized departure as a violation of aviation regulations, placed the flight crew under regulatory review, grounded the aircraft, and suspended the operator's Permit for Non Commercial Flight (PNCF) pending a full investigation.
