One of nature’s oldest medicines. 🌿 Antimicrobial, antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral. ✨ I usually start my fermented garlic honey in mid-summer so it has plenty of time to ferment and is ready by fall. How to make it: 🧄 Peel fresh garlic cloves and lightly crush each one. 🍯 Place them in a clean, dry glass jar, leaving some room at the top. 🧄 Cover completely with raw honey. 🍯 Make sure all of the garlic is coated in honey. 🧄 Loosely cap the jar to allow gases to escape. (Aka burping) 🍯 For the first week or two, turn the jar over daily to keep the garlic coated, then return it upright and loosen the lid as needed to release pressure. 🧄 Let it ferment at room temperature for several weeks. You’ll notice the honey getting thinner, the garlic darkening, and little bubbles forming as it ferments.
