@bnc.ph: PEPITO ALVAREZ SAYS HE IS CLOSE TO IDENTIFYING THE ‘MASTERMIND’ BEHIND FLOOD CONTROL AFFIDAVIT Palawan Rep. Pepito Alvarez said he believes he is close to identifying the person behind allegations linking him to the flood control controversy, claiming he already has a clearer picture of who may have orchestrated the affidavit. Speaking on #TheSpokes, Alvarez said intermediaries had spoken to several of the former military personnel involved and that none had directly identified his residence or provided details that would support claims that money was delivered to him. He also questioned inconsistencies in the allegations, noting that other individuals were supposedly linked to specific addresses and supporting details. Alvarez said he is considering legal action only against those he believes were directly involved in implicating him, including the individuals who allegedly connected his name to the affidavit and those behind its preparation. However, he suggested he may reconsider pursuing cases against some of the former soldiers if they admit they were misled, saying many of them were vulnerable and may have been enticed by promises of money.
