Absolutely changes the game! And I always remind myself if people dont respond or be rude I think “they must have forgotten what it was like to be a student or a junior” and that’s a reflection on them and their professionalism 😜

Hell yeah girl!! LOVE this idea!!! Same w me as a student nurse on placement ESPECIALLY working within multidisciplinary teams- from senior residents and CNCs to other student physio and OTs and intern specialists and med students!!! I’ve grown to love putting myself out there and TALKING to other people- teamwork and collaboration is one of the best part of our job in healthcare, I think- and I love it when people do the same as I do and are outgoing and communicative!!!

I feel sooo timid as a third year, I just started placement this year and I have so much trouble introducing myself when all the doctors are so busy, but at the same time they all know eachother and joke with eachother and meanwhile im just an outsider there wasting their time 😭 I try to be proactive but it's such a humiliation ritual sometimes

Maybe try to not think of being a student and being a real doctor type of thing lolol. I mean that in the best way but can say it right in typing. But think that your done with school, your now THE person. Lol hopefully you get what I mean

Yesss. I was a student nurse working in ED during covid and it was a very new role and learning scope was hard and awkward at times. Sometimes I would come home crying until one day I was like, you know what, I’m going to get out of this situation what I put into it. And I gave it my all, pushed myself out of my comfort zone and got along side the staff which felt so scary… I never left and now a registered nurse in that same ED all these years on and love it
