True but don’t let them convince you your womb isn’t once of the most powerful things on this planet. 2 truths can exist. It’s an incredibly important organ, we are more than just the organ.

the issue of divine feminine is it really boils down the ideal woman to her ability to create life when women are so much more and creating life doesnt have to be a part of it at all

divine feminine’s spiritual origins were so much more than just reproductive symbolism, religion took everything right down to our biology, it’s important to recognise theistic spiritually (often religious) is different from other forms and is not all rooted in essentialism

i legitimately feel like shit bc of this sometimes bc even feminist spheres will talk so much about how women are so great bc they can create life and its like ok so what if i dont want to do that, is my existence meaningless or like

disclaimer, I'm not a mythologist nor a specialist in cultural research, this is what I could tell why people back in the day was obsessed of making goddesses like this. Some cultures viewed the femininity as " nature" and "fertility " due to the ability to give birth of women. Back in the day, reproduction is the top priority as people could catch a flu and died a week later; .ost of them didn't live until the age of 70 and infant death was common . Since only women can nurture a life inside her and give birth to it, many goddesses were associated with pregnant, along with some beliefs that worshipped the genitals as the symbol of fertility ( yeah you heard it, some cultures actually worshipped the genitals). This situation also effected how men "chose" their wives and perspective of society back then on women ; they praised the one who could bear children, they talked about it and wished themselves or their daughters / daughters-in-law could have that luck. I see you mention about infertile women, sadly, those women were badly treated by their own family and neighborhood. There is an idiom that literally dehumanized infertile women, it's " Cây độc không trái , gái độc không con" ( which roughly translated as " only women with dark heart can't bear children), and they had less privileges than virgins ( who chose not to marry or having kids due to religious reason) .Women is always associated with birth because they have a womb from the start and a lot of grandmas whom still live until now were under those teaching. Women has fought for a millienial and yet people nowadays still can't let them decide what should they do with their own uterus.
