Oh babe this is v v illegal. Sunshine act happened to stop bribery/keep things ethical. We can still buy lunch/snacks within a reasonable limit because it allows time for us to present data/educate/learn your offices needs!

haha yes it is a great marketing idea but as someone who works in pharma, there’s a lot of federal and local laws/ compliance rules we have to follow that limit an idea like this 🫣

Pharma rep here: I totally wish and have heard about the good old days when this was allowed. Now because of the sunshine act it’s illegal to do a lot of this because it’s not considered bribery and that’s why now any time a rep spends money on a HCP it has to be educational in nature and modest

I’m a little considered at how many of you think this is a good idea 😭I know it’s done with good intention but prescribing and promoting medication has MANY more risks than promoting cosmetics or clothing.
