Not sure if u are the same…but we were raised with parents that didn’t know how to show emotion, we definitely did not have the ‘space’ to talk about our emotions, emotions were non existent, so ur heart can break but its only ever used to breaking silently, even though i know that i am raising my kids differently- giving them the space to talk & act freely, i know that there are many pains that I don’t speak about…Allah yerhamou inshallah you will find a way to be able to grieve openly

When my father passed I cooked his meals for months and all the people that passed in my family that’s what kept me moving forward and each time one of there favourite meals was cooked I would invite and feed people as what my father would do, this what keeps the tradition going of memories and creates new ones too
