I still want to know why magnetic gears aren’t used in more machines. Like, if one utilized magnets appropriately in say an internal combustion engine, wouldn’t you be able to eliminate or at least minimize the need for oil?

Don't work if heat is included. Heat weakens magnets. Maybe SmCo magnets,but it is in any way not a realyible system.
