this was the same strategy used by colonialists in Mozambique, Angola and rest of former colonies in Africa. this is not surprising, this could not be done for a longer period because most of the affected businesses were white, however this strategy was two fold, the other being discrediting ANC just before the last election. their strategy is long-term, it included businesses not coming through with investments that will lead to increased employment, which would benefit the ruling party.
