@esther_ososanya: 🇳🇬 HOME SAFE: The first batch of 258 Nigerians evacuated from South Africa following recent xenophobic attacks has arrived safely in Nigeria. Receiving the returnees at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, described the evacuation as a clear demonstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the safety, welfare, and dignity of Nigerians abroad. The Federal Government said it acted swiftly to protect its citizens from violence and intimidation, stressing that no Nigerian should live in fear because of their nationality. Authorities also reaffirmed ongoing diplomatic engagement with South Africa to ensure the protection of Nigerians and address the root causes of the attacks. More evacuation flights are expected in the coming days as efforts continue to bring affected Nigerians home safely. #SouthAfricaEvacuation #NigeriansAbroad #ForeignAffairs #DiasporaProtection #NigeriaFirst
