May i rant guys??? I just don't think people realize how much damage it does when someone pretends to be another person. I spent my time, energy, trust, and genuine feelings believing I was talking to someone. I listened, cared, worried, showed up, and became emotionally invested because I thought everything was real. What hurts the most isn't even that I got attached. It's finding out that the person I thought I was building a connection with wasn't the person I believed they were. The confusion, the overthinking, the feeling of questioning every conversation and every memory that's the part people don't see. I was honest from the start. I was genuine. I trusted what I was being shown. Maybe I'll be okay eventually. But right now, I'm allowing myself to admit that it hurt. Not because I was weak. Not because I was foolish. But because I cared.
