👇 Hardware guide to buying a Macbook: 1️⃣ 𝗖𝗣𝗨 This is the MOST USED hardware component of a laptop/macbook when building Mobile Apps. Whenever your app compiles or creates a build, the CPU is doing the work, so I’d pick the best CPU I can in my budget. M1 Pro is the minimum I’d get for a Macbook, but M4 Pro is 2x faster. 2️⃣ 𝗥𝗔𝗠 / 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 Alright, the RAM Memory is also used all the time, but Macbooks are doing a good job optimizing its usage. 16 GB was enough for a long time, and it’s still ok nowadays, but if you’re buying a new laptop, I think it’s worth getting 24 or 32 GB for future proofing. 3️⃣ 𝗚𝗣𝗨 Not really that important for building mobile apps. If you’re working with ARKit, Reality Composer, 3D rendering, then yes, or if you’re making a lot of video content (and editing), but even then, I don’t think it’s worth getting the Max chip from Apple, as a developer. 4️⃣ 𝗦𝗦𝗗 / 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 This depends on how you manage your data. However, for Macs, the 1TB SSDs (and higher) are faster than the 256 or 512 GB variants, so I’d get at least 1TB, and then buy external SSD if needed (they are much cheaper). 💬 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗽 / 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸? What about your ideal one?
