@chinaembassyinmaldives: At a UN Security Council open debate on the Middle East, China's Permanent Representative to the UN Fu Cong proposed four priorities for advancing peace: • Resolve disputes through political means and dialogue, and refrain from the use or threat of force. • Uphold fairness and justice under international law, advance the two-state solution, and support an independent Palestinian state. • Promote independence and self-reliance, overcome geopolitical rivalry, and build common security through solidarity and cooperation. • Address both symptoms and root causes, support development and post-conflict reconstruction, and promote long-term regional stability.
