I told my sons...and their girl friends who lived with us,...school full time you pay gor nothing we will cover it. School part time work part time you pay $150 a month to help with food and bills, no school...work full time and pay $300/month.

I was 13 paying 40% of lights and 15% of water just to help my single mom with 3 jobs and she was always at boy scouts and cub scouts even though she would meet me there and bring my bicycle back home after I would meet her there. then we get home and she would see i already had supper ready . so I had to finish homework get a bath and help with washing cloths then we were off to bed. my mom was a great and strong woman and raised a man.

I told my son he could live at home for as long as he wanted as long as he was working or going to school. He got a job and gave me $300 a month for food. Everything else I paid for. He lived at home until he was 25

I’m gonna do this too but much lower pricing just so he can get use to paying bills on time and budget. Meanwhile I’ll actually be putting it in a savings account and when he moves out I’ll double it for a head start.

that's literally the plan my parents have for me but slightly different, just as long as I'm working because I know I don't want college and rent around $500 and help with groceries if I can then I can live with them since they already paid off our house and it's being willed to me and my sister since I'm adopted and I'll be helping with mowing since they're a bit older and we all agreed fair

These are the parents that don’t even let their kids know this was coming. They don’t tell them until they want them to start. Which means they probably have no way of purchasing anything. She said she needs to get a job now, meaning she isn’t working yet but mom expects rent money today. I still help my daughter and she’s 29

my kid knows she can stay here for free she just pays her car insurance as long as she's in college I want her to be able to go to school so she will be ok when she does want to move out

my kids know as long as they are in school ill be paying for a lot but if they don't go to school id appreciate some help or give them time to save up to move out on their own terms are negotiable always

You know, as soon as that girl moves out, she’s not talking to her mom anymore. Because how can you do that? Lake both my kids ones in her 20s and one just turned 16 you know I gave them both. You know if you go to the college or any type of you know trade school or what not you know you’re only obligation is like the phone bill in a portion of your insurance and then they can save money. You know to get a car or whatever same thing gonna happen with my youngest. Cause I was kicked out when I was 16 and if I wasn’t kicked out, I probably could’ve been doing a lot better than I am now.
