LADIES! I don’t care if you’re a SAHM, corporate exec, or anything in-between…if you aren’t paying attention to money because “someone else handles that”, it’s time to get your head out of the sand. Here’s the things that make women different from men when it comes to money: (from someone raised by a divorced SAHM whose family didn’t talk about money, but who taught herself and hit 7-figs by 35) 1️⃣ Women live longer. This means we need more money than men do. The average age of widowhood in the U.S. is 59. Oftentimes women are wiped out financially when their spouse passes or have no idea where the money is and how to access it. 2️⃣ Women are hurt more than men in a divorce. On average women make less than men and are more likely to be dependent on their ex in a divorce situation for alimony, child support etc. 3️⃣ Women work fewer years than men. Because women are the primary caretakers when it comes to children, aging parents etc, we spend on average, 7-11 less years working than men. That’s less money going into Social Security, retirement accounts, and we earn less. I don’t care if you’re an entrepreneur. I don’t care if you’re a SAHM. I don’t care if you’re married to the local bank president. Married, single, divorced… As a woman, you have to be in charge of your finances. Period. Full stop.🛑 You cannot delegate your financial future to anyone else. ✨If you’re a woman wanting to build a life of financial independence and security while still being present with the people you love, me too!
